The Antenna Division "added marine construction to it's capabilities in 1965." "Rohr entered the marine products field because its long years of experience in production of aerospace components developed a broad range of skills ideally suted to fabricatio of marine structures." "Rohr designed, fabricated and installed the antenna at the Goldstone Deep Space Station in Barstow in 1966" (Rohr Magazine, Fall 1969, p. 3, 5, 18).

The Surface Effect Ship Division performed "under a contract on development of a 2200-ton Surface Effect Ship and associated design and test programs" (Rohr, 1975).
